PBD Wins Prestigious Napa Valley Wine Auction Account
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — September 3, 2002 — PhilippeBecker Design Inc. (PBD), a San Francisco based packaging and branding agency, today announced that it has been awarded the identity and print collateral program for the Napa Valley Wine Auction. The Napa Valley Vintners Association, a non-profit, professional trade organization representing 220 Napa Valley wineries, and the Trinchero Family, this year's Auction Chairs, selected PBD from a group of leading design agencies.
"This is a design agency's dream project," said PhilippeBecker, creative director of PBD. "From strategy and ideation to branding and print design, everyone in the agency will certainly bring their talents and expertise to this project. We have a lot of exciting work ahead of us between now and June 5th and we're really looking forward to working with the Napa Valley Vintners Association and the Trinchero Family to make this project a great success for all involved."
The scope of the work includes developing the theme and name of the event and designing the brand identity, invitations and a 250-page wine auction catalogue, along with posters, packaging, banners, lapel pins, auction bid panels and menus.
Now in its 22nd year, the Napa Valley Wine Auction is the world's largest wine charity event with over $42 million raised for local nonprofit agencies since its inception in 1981. The Auction attracts nearly 1,800 attendees from throughout the world and is annually supported by more than 1,000 community volunteers. The primary focus of the Auction donations is to help support agencies working collaboratively to assist the underserved in Napa County. This includes local Napa Valley health organizations and programs dedicated to providing affordable housing and youth development.
